Anne Rice quit being a Christian because she refuses to be anti-gay, anti-feminist, etc.

Why does being a Christian mean you have to be anti-gay, anti-feminist, etc.?

That's a false dilemna.

God didn't say everyone has to have the same views about everything. That's in the book of Romans. Paul said to make up your own mind with a good conscience.

My Bible study teacher has used this quote several times: "In essentials unity; In doubtful things liberty; But in all things love."

There are truths that one should hold fast to. But there are matters in which it won't do to take rigid positions. With time and wisdom we might learn to discern between the two, in the meantime, be charitable!

Oh, and avoid labels.
